I've changed the gasket on my vespa sprint 69 gear selector (leaking) now its stuck in gear.Can anyone tell me how to solve this if poss, I'm very new to this and learning all the time or mucking up alot(solving one problem and creating a bigger one)Thanks to anyone who replies.

spin the back wheel as ya try to change gear , if cut-outs aint lining up the cruciform wont go between gears , its a feature of the design of the box , many get caught by it , use to a full synchro box on ya car are you , H

give a go in the morning thanks again Henri, but it is stuck in gear if i have to take the selector off again do you know if there is something I should look for cause I must have put back incorrectly

promise , spin the wheel or kick it over , gears will change , unless youve managed to get selecter box on without engaging the pawl in end of selecter , a near impossibility , but i'm sure somebodys managed it , the arm that comes out the selecter box has a pivoted pawl at end ,that fits in the round slot in end of selecter , if it isnt in slot as ya put box on will put it in gear an then not pull it out as you try n change gear , it is possible but really difficult to do , i'm sure a wheel spin an magically your gears will appear , like magic ,just not the "paul daniels" kind , short-arse smug git , H
