Picked up my new PX today after trading in the LML. Just got a few newbie questions. Firstly the gear shift doesn`t seem as positive as the LML, the clutch `bites` when lever is almost out and bike ticks over a little quick. Where would I find the tickover screw? Adjusted the screw on top of air box as I thought this was it with no success so set it back to where it was. Should the clutch bite at the end as I think my other scoot was more towards the middle??? Also removed the wing mirrors just need to know whether you need to rmove the throtttle tube to remove the r/h fastening?

screw that sticks through the top of the carb box IS the idle screw. the clutch is adjusted by the nipple underside of the engine that the clutch cable runs through

Thought it was that screw but it didn`t seem to do much. Do you know where the clutch should bite?

Where you set the clutch bite is mainly a matter of your own preference, needs to be comfortable for your reach.Your cable will be a bit to tight, so just try turning the adjuster one turn in at a time till you're happy, it will be fine anywhere as long as it is not slipping or dragging. You shouldn't need to remove throttle tube to get the mirrors off (if they are std PX), IIRC you will need to pop the headset top off to access the bracket.. Have fun

Thanks, when I took the headset top off they were unwinding and then got very tight and were definetly fouling the throttle tube. Will have another look tommorrow.

My only fear was damaging the tube. I tried it again today but had to stop as it went really tight. Will really go for it tommorow though.
