Hi guys,, been a while so all is good with the rebuild. Anyway just brought a second hand Piaggio flywheel and matching stator from ebay as mines seen much better days and have just noticed from the pics the wiring is slightly different?? On the one I have now there's spade connections for 2 of the wire's (blue + black) but the one I have just brought there's a piece of plastic covering the 2 wires. So do I just wip the plastic off and change the connections over to spades?? Is it that easy?? Also AS I brought the items on the spare of the moment without really thinking are they compatible with my engine Mk1 px non electric start & yes the flywheel has a cog which needs removing Cheers guys

yep,its that easy ,just snip-snip ,crimp-crimp, an jobs a good un , tho i like to solder all my connections ,an the flywheel will fit your crank taper ,all px's are the same taper , tho i'm not sure if you'll have to trim back the bottom fin on barrel coz its a lectric start fly ,with out the gear ring i think it will fit .H

Theyre pretty much all 'standard' 6.3mm spade size. It depends on the wire the size of the wire. Blue ones are for thicker wire than red ones. I use blue. Red will probably fit your stator wires too, i cant recall now! Doh!

same here , always thought vespa wirings a bit thin , can be a trouble running the loom thru frame/headstock tho, an i never get the "blues" listen to a lot of it tho, H
