When fitting a cosa clutch, is there a washer which goes underneath the retaining nut?

Yes, a wavey spring washer. One dot of blue thread lock too. And do it up as tight as you can!

If its the later cosa ll clutch it needs the stiff steel wavy washer with the shouldered cosa nut. The flywheel washer is a serrated one.

I cant get this cosa clutch on for love nor money. I checked the clutch fits over the crank when the crank was out. The woodruff key fits on both the crank and inside the keyway on clutch. When I put the clutch on, it just wont go on. I dont want to smack with a hammer for obvios reasons.. What am I doing wrong? If I had any hair I would now be pulling it out...

The clutch drive teeth need to engage with the primary gears inside your engine when you put it on. Check you have fitted the thick washer or oil drive gear cog before you fit the clutch. If you have autolube/ the oil drive gear cog ensure the slot for the woodruff key lines up with the woodruff key. Ensure the woodruff key is not pushing itself out of the crank as you push the clutch on Try gently tapping the woodruff key in a little deeper before you fit the clutch may help

Make sure its nice and tight. Youll need to stop your clutch from rotating when doing up the nut
