I took mine on Monday, on an LML Star deluxe. Perfect round, no minor faults, except i didnt get up to speed on the emergancy stop. Only got it to 44km's when you need a min 50. you get 2 goes and i only got it to 43 on the 1st. In my defence it was chucking it down, and i stopped perfectly, but its a retake for me next week. Instructer said its a common one to fail on and its mind over matter as your in an inclosed space.

All depends on age and what cc bike you can ride to do it.I did mine on a Suzuki 650 seen as im an old t**t and passed both mod one and two in a week.In practice I just could not make the speed so god know what it's like on a 125.Good luck.

Cheers al, retake isnt until April now, gives me more time to worry. Im now considering doing a days training on a bike and taking the test on that as i'm not sure what else i could have done. The bike i borrowed (as my px wouldnt be quick enough) was a 2008 and is supposed to be quick enough

twist the beggars neck harder til its eyes pop out , nobody should want to thrash a borrowed bike but a couple of hundred yards of WOT wont kill it , an in the short run up lots of times wasted changing gear ,so rather than grabbing another gear work out which gear will rev to the speed needed ,an twist throttle to the stop, pucker up as ya cross the line an "throw out the anchors" , bet you'll nail it then , h

I had the same issue with my PX 125. I couldn't get the desired speed, and had the joy of a two hour roundtrip. I went back the week later, and kept the bike in third gear as soon as I went around the bend, and just ragged the bike as much as possible. It didn't sound great, but I did it.. just. It's actually quite dangerous for Vespa's to do this test, as we have to go around the bend too fast in order to stand a chance of making the speed.

If it took 2 hours to get up to speed, you're doing it wrong.... 😆 I do need to take a motorbike test, but there's no way I'll do it on my scoot. I don't want any restrictions, I want to be able to ride whatever I like.
