Just rebuilt the engine on a 1983 PX125 starts no problem, rebuilt the clutch on it and just replaced the cable but when I put it in gear the clutch is not engaging and just stalls?tried adjusting the cable still no joy, is there something I've done wrong with the clutch when refitting it?aint gotta clue? Any pointers when rebuilding a clutch and refitting it,cheers

Also I've only got 1st gear on the gear change it won't go through the gears when twisting the gear changer?

Maybe the cable needs more adjustment?whats the best way of adjusting the cable and how much?cheers

without the rear wheel spinning they wont go thru the gears , thats normal,as ya just put clutch in an it aint workin reckon youve got to pull it an check ,compress it with the tool or threaded bar n washers n shake it , no rattle = bad, start with cable tho, move clutch arm towards front of scoot/adjuster,get trunnion up tight to arm then move it a nats tads more n secure ,ya need 3 hands an double joints , if that dont get ya a clutch its clutch cover off n pull the clutch , did ya soak the plates in oil before fitting , an is it a "new!" clutch , H

3 hands does make adjusting the clutch easier The cable adjustment is tight enough when pulling the clutch lever disconnects the kickstart. The kickstart should press freely without any resistance. When releasing the clutch lever the kickstart should work without slipping. If yours does this then the adjustment is close enough.

Sorted it,had to pull the clutch out again and strip it down,wiped the excess oil off the plates,the bottom plate had a slight groove in it so swapped for another and works thank the lord,nice 1 fellas for the advice
