if you have a full licence then a standard px200 would be the best one

Standard 200 would be my choice as well, T5 is IMO a bit revvy for touring and lacks torque, not so good when you hit a hill or carry a passenger ..

It all depends how far you want to go with tuning and how much cash you have! For touring a stock or mildly tuned P2 is probably your best bet. If you want to tune the 125 lump then a DR180 is pretty good for touring around. It isn't suited to high revs as it has thick rings but the increase in ccs adds a bit more oomph. It's designed to just bolt on without opening up the casings but can be tuned further if req'd. I've got some pics up at photobucket s21.photobucket.com/albums/b270/t5trash/DR180/, I've roughly opened up one port to show how much can be taken away. I ran a DR180 with a 24mm T5 carb and sito plus for years without problems. You are only looking at a cruising speed of 55-60mph with stock gearing. I up geared mine for motorway work. A malossi 166 kit is another option. This is more powerful and better suited to high revs. For a high power motor it is the better option and has a much better piston. The casings need opening out (not a hard job) to get the best from it. It makes power higher up the rev range though so may not be as suited to touring. I ran one of these as well and it was harder work to ride as it was in a higher state of tune (i had a 30mm carb, probably too big but it looked good!) There are also the polini and pinasco kits although I haven't used these. The pinasco is alloy so should get rid of the heat better and the polini has had good reports. If you need any more details let me know.

thanks for all your help .olympia and sito look the easiest option.the pinasco would have been first choice but i dont really fancy chopping bits of metal off my engine.theres a fine line between tuned and botched.

if you fit the 180 kit and sito exhaust and use the standard 20mm carb then a 115 main jet works the best on mine
