by drilling above jets the air has a smoother more direct flow aswell as more of it , less turbulence =better ,an up 2 jet sizes i think, sbwnic has pinned a post about drilling at top of tech section ,think it covers most stuff in there if memory serves, H

Yeh youre kinda right... But this happens in the venturi, which is after the jets, fuel supply etc The vacuum you speak of... Think about it...what do vacuums do?!! Id like to add, ive had a couple o after work lemonades and again, coyld be talkin outta my.....

Oh god! I hope it wasn't a Henry!!
My understanding is the air flow in the venturi, created by the vacuum of the cranking pressure, is what sucks in the mix. The mix being a gravity feed fuel supply, controlled by the float, which is metered by the jets, mixed with the correct portion of air. This fuel sits in the SI carb passageways until its sucked through the carb, into the venturi, via the msin jet, which feeds the idle jet, into a down draft created by the vacuum / pressure of the crank..... Hahahaha. I think we're both right!!?
