Hi Vespa T5, has developed a rattle. I've checked everything is done up tight cowling a etc. it gets louder as the engine gets warmer Anyone any ideas please Thanks in advance

Have you checked the plug colour?
Oh, and how tight is the toolbox lid? You'll be surprised how often that causes a mystery rattle!

Haven't checked the plug colour ? What would that do with the rattle ? The rattle is defo from the engine The toolbox is ok Thanks

It can give you an idea what's happening in the engine. Have you had it tuned at all?

Right ok. I will check the plug tomorrow Not touched it since I've had it about 6 months now. It has a 177 kit on it .

Have you checked the oil level in the gearbox? Is there much movement in the flywheel abd rear wheel? Checking inside the carb box for anything loose.

any change in the noise when you pull the clutch in?

It could be anything TBH, there's a load of things that make a rattling noises, without seeing it, I'd be wary of trying to make a diagnosis.

Thanks for all your advice I checked oil and everything and all ok.
Looks like the spark plug was loose. Feel A bit of a Wally
