Damn and blast it! I just put my pinasco together again but have a leak I think its coming from the base gasket. Or the crankcase bolt just behind it? Ive been out today on it, breaking in the new piston rings, every 50 miles or so I stop and take off the flywheel, wipe behind it, tighten up the case bolts and exhaust bolt and off again.. But after 200 miles it still leaks Time to take off the cylinder and do it again! Properly! I may end up having to split the cases again? So thanks Nik for posting the sticky about doing that in situ'. Im sure it will come in handy! It really affects things.. At a constant 50mph it measures 190f degrees at 1/4 throttle. At a constant 60mph - 200f, at 1/2 throttle (The CHT sensor ring is now back under the spark plug). But only 65mph at full throttle It aint my jetting either. My exhaust sounds a bit tinny too! Maybe the packing is all burnt away?!!! Theres no torque like it had before either. I just thought id share all that with someone!! I tried to take a vid, to make the post a bit more interesting! Hopefully there'll be a link below...

No video mate...............? Anyway, I reckon some of you blokes aren't happy when they're running nicely; you need to be pulling them apart. Hope it's just the base gasket, but why not take it apart anyway; you know you want to (I like your little (interesting) analytical records too - good to see some numbers/measurements/readings; noticed that in another recent thread of yours)

Thanks for the link.. Just what I need to see whats required. Seems pretty simple. . Ill want to test my gearbox/engine cases too.. Any tips for that one?
I was extremely happy with my engine before, happy it took some hammering to break it! Plans are to rebuild as it was but take it easier now I kbow it works. The cases were pretty battered when I bought them 2nd hand of ebay, same as the pinasco kit. They're even more battered now! Hope to find out if they hold enough pressure... how much pressure should I expect to hold ib the gearbox??

No vid, sorry I decided it could be incriminating, riding on dual carriageway, filming my speedo and throttle position at 1/2 way at 60mph with my phone.. Thats all it was....
