hi, can anyone tell me which type of grease to use on the steering bearings on a vespa px125 and which way up the bottom bearing goes?? cheers dj

I use normal lithium type grease for almost everything, never had any problems with it, but I suppose you should really use copper based.
And the balls go upwards. Are you changing the races too? If you're not sure, run a finger over the surface the balls meet and feel for any obvious notches.

lithuim is the one i use aswell ,low melting point 1, i wouldnt use copper grease ,its up to the job but is more for corrosion prevention ,lithuim is just for lubrication an does the job better , as nic says the balls goes upwards facing the top race whose balls face downwards , H

Id never use copper grease on bearings Like henri says its more for anti corrosion (on non moving parts) Use lithium based grease for bearings and other moving parts.
