That crosser was a bitch to ride, kitted and tuned 180 with standard gearing and a 300 X 10 tyre to lower the ratios even further... I ended up covered in crap anyway!
That was at my clubs second get together a few years back. A good weekend.
BTW rumour has it Oz stuffed the smallie into a hedge that day.

i'm always interested in different engines in adapted frames ,an have done a few .looked at what it would take to put something naughty in a large frame vespa an came to the conclusion you'd have to change so much it would be no longer a vespa, just something that looked like 1 .you'd have to build a whole new rear sub frame an marry that up to the front of a vespa. if you check out the smallframe forum its one of there pet hates ,people putting large frame motors into smallframes,as they call all other vespa's "lardy's" an other insults am tempted to do it just to p**s em off. crazy engine swaps are more a lambretta thing really as its a lot easyier to marry up a sub-frame to there scaffold/drain pipe frame arraingement. thats why after i sold my ld an was having a clear out an by chance put a ld frame down on top of a piaggio zip auto engine .stood back an thought that's loads of work but would go in, an would annoy loads of anoraks ,its now my back-burner project, for when i'm stalled on other projects . an i love the ts1 kitted t5 ,no better reason to do it than some pub-bore telling you it cant/shouldnt be done .brilliant.H
