Hello! I just bought a PX200e from a mate. I had a brand new white one in 1986. More recently I've had a Mk1 P200e, a Rally 200 and a Parmakit P125ETS which I sold in 2012. The Smallframe forum is superb so I'm hoping to get advice from yourselves regarding the bits & pieces I need to do with the PX. It has a full MoT and runs great, and it was a complete bargain, but it does have a bit of rust just behind the diagonal seam on the LH side. That's the bit I'll need to sort initially, along with the dodgy cosmetics. Thanks in anticipation, Andy

just had to do a "tunnel bridge piece" repair on a older vespa but there built the same ,the metal is in 2 layers there spot welded together,if rust has got right in it will lift the top layer as it forms ,you can get to the back of the seam from under the petrol tank ,some rust cure, the white watery type not gel,can be liberally sprayed down there to try an get it to leach into the spaces between inner/outer layers.clean away paint from outside an try an get it in the seam there.from the pics it looks well saveable without major welding, tho i do agree with the cosmetic make-over,never been a fan on yankee seats.on smallframe forum stickys check out "welding tips" by ben an 1 thread called "in 1 word ambitious",they'll give you a idea how a frame is put together in case the tin-worms being at it under the paint/seams. while ya rust curing dont forget the mudgaurd seam an splash panel behind front wheel ,an floor supports underneath ,thats where the px's ive seen seem to have most rust . cheers henri
