Yes.
The wiring is compatible as long as you can work out which wire is which.... Providing you've not bought one of the crappy Indian ones for LML that look like an ME one, in which case it's not quite as straight forward.

SIP and Beespeed both have original ME ones in, or did last time I looked. TBH, if you can get it to work, then the Indian one is a better bet long term, in as much as it doesn't have the horrible printed pcb on the back.

if your up for stripping it ,the symptoms you described quite often are a build up of grease/oil/fluff n dust between the spinning magnet connected to the cable an the clock-springed cup the needle is mounted to.a weakened spring also makes the needle waver up n down ,the magnet is suppose to not touch the cup but drag it round against the spring by magnetism so if they touch or get dirt it can make the needle suddenly jump up an not return to zero til tapped, also not on a scoot but a car, my speedo suddenly started doing this after a cable change ,the pattern inner was a touch too long and had pushed the magnet/cup into touch. the speedo in the photo looks exactly the same as the 1 in my mates 2003 px200e disc/electric start from what i can see.if the beedspeed ones are good thats ya quickest fix,but wat nic said about the indian 1's not havin the flexible circuit board sounds good .ive tried to repair them with a electronic circuit repair pen/paint from maplins before with 50/50 results .i wouldnt strip a speedo just to change a face colour ,too lazy to bother an too tight to buy another if i c**ked it up.as said above your "funs" going to be workin out the wiring on a indian speedo ,ive never found a wiring diagram thats the same colours as the 2 lml's ive worked on.the amount an use of wires is ok but the colour coding seems to be random an changes model to model. When mine packed in, I picked up a black face one for pennies off some numpty who'd spent stupid cash on a genuine ME one. Mine is still working, his died after about six months God, those PCBs are crap.

im not putting indian crap on my vespa ill strip my genuine speedo and see whats going on inside its worked for over 33 years it can only be wear and tear or fouled up last black faced one went for stupid money on ebay ill use the disk one as parts for repair .id rather keep the speedo as genuine as possible if i can im falling out with the new chrome parts i just fitted aswell .not doing the wasp decals on the panels as ive decided it will end up looking like a kids toy .less is more feeling creeping in
