Yes. A tube deflates immediately, like a balloon, while a tubeless tyre goes down very slowly, enabling you to take defensive action. Look at it this way - it's a lot cheaper to make split rims than tubeless, but why do you think that every motorcycle on the market uses tubeless? I was out on Sunday with a few others and the scoot in-front of me got a front wheel puncture, as Nik says it deflated immediately making the rider loose a lot of control and the scooter ending up on its side, luckily we were just pulling up to a round about and had started to slow down. Still shook him up a bit. I think the tubeless rims with some form of goop would definitely be the safest option. D.

You can buy kits to do this for £12.99. (3 spacers 26mm plus Allen screws) l recently bought 10 spacers off eBay for £2.80. Think I typed in m8 long but. Hth. I should have bought 8mm long nuts. Scooter Center couldn't send me 3 of the same extension nuts for shock absorber. Now I'm waiting another nuts from them, but they couldn't give me tracking code for the shipment.

Shock absorber extension nuts were not with same thread. Then I tried 8mm extension nuts. Not the easiest solution neither. I ended up to fit spare wheel like it was fitted at factory. Simple.
