Hi All,
First time here looking for help,Have a Vespa PK50S 1984 Been running great till now?Have a Dr110 kit fitted,Dellorto 19/19 shb carb,Leo Vince sports exhaust.Starts up fine ok on tickover and pulling away but get to about 30mph 3/4 throttle and try and open it up and just splutters don't want to respond ?Have put in new plug and stripped and cleaned carb.Any ideas thanks

Try winding the carb mixture screw in half a turn.

If it has been running well for ages and only now it splutters badly then it could be either the float needle is leaking a bit or if it isn't that it might be the CDI box

Try winding the carb mixture screw in half a turn. have tried that and replaced new ht lead and cap and plug,took it down road tonight better on tick over but still struggling when open throttle? |

Yes, I recommend the red tip. Have changed all my scooters (Vespa & Lammie) to these to cope with the cr*p modern fuels!
