Please don't be sick of this question lol
As the title reads. What is the best kit?
I would like some more top end power if that helps.
Also I'm in Bedfordshire, anyone know who can do this for me at a good price?
Thanks.

Top end power is a bit of a nebulous description, what will the scooter be used for, and how much do you have to spend?

Top end power is a bit of a nebulous description, what will the scooter be used for, and how much do you have to spend? Hi, I use the scooter daily, unless severe weather. I don't race or part of a racing club. Just would like more go in the scooter. Regarding money, I'm not too sure. I normally see what things cost, then decide from there whether I can afford it, or justify spending out...marriage eh! Lol

Do you do any distance work? If so, I would always go for a fully ported Polini. If you just want a cheap bolt on kit, then DR. Malossi if you want to go chasing sports bikes and don't mind regular ring changes.
Who've i forgotten?

If I was to go down the route of exhaust change, what will be the best and jets to buy?
Sorry about all the questions.

if you want more top end,you need to go bigger carb, and upgear at least, also casing porting might be required, its a lot of effing about for what you get out of it in my opinion, expect to visit garages often also

I agree it seems that way. I'll stick with the Sip Road and hopefully I'll get a little more acceleration through the gears...maybe!

A standard engine won't be powerful enough to pull higher gearing, and a bigger carb does nothing other than make a pleasant noise and drink more fuel. If you want a good, solid and reliable engine, talk to Diablo Al (Alan Terry). It'll not be cheap, but it'll be fast and reliable - he's built some bloody good motors in recent years. The alternative is Harry Barlow, who I think you can still get hold of via Solely Scooters (Pete Merchant). He can be tricky to track down some times, so I'd go talking to Al first. It's not a lot of effing about, it's just a good way to waste money on fuel!

If that was the case, then I have been spending my whole life effing about with scooter engines! As Nik summed up very eloquently; carbs and jetting are selected to suit the requirements of an engine/exhaust. A carb that is too small gives reduced acceleration, a carb that is too big just wastes fuel as it will be difficult to set up. The cheapest power increase on any standard PX125 is the same as it ever was; a big fat 1.5mm base gasket and skim the same 1.5mm off the cylinder head (wet and dry paper (wet!) on a sheet of glass for a few hours). And up the main jet about 10 points

first off all,who was talking about a standard engine i certainly wasnt.i obviously meant with a big bore kit added, as the original poster also asks about [What is the best kit] i left that for someone else to recommend... also for your information i am quite aware that a standard engine wont pull an upgear kit
