I have been doing rear and fr brake maintenance new tyres and resprayed really crappy chrome rims black it looks the dogs now oh and it's a 2006 px 125 anyway just been for a test run and it feels like the back brake is sticking on its really strange when I push it it's fine but when I sit on it it feels like I have put the rear brake on I put a new rear shock on about 12 months ago surely it's not knackered ? How low should my scoot sit at the back it does look lowish any thoughts will be most appreciated many thanks

Check your tyre pressures. If they're low, then they could be rubbing.
Did you disconnect the brake cable? It could be that you've over tightened it on reassembly and when you sit on it, the slight amount of movement is enough to tighten the brake up.

if you think your scoot is sitting low at the back, the rubber mount on the top of shock may have come away, check the shock is not rubbing on the rear tyre.

^^ As above, but the easiest way of finding out if the mount has gone is to grab the rear and lift. If the back wheel stays on the floor once you've lifted an inch and a half, then it's gone.

Which was does the brake cable run BTW? They should always run below the engine mount.

Simple leverage. You sit on it, the brake arm moves away from the pedal about 5mm... Just enough!
