Hi all, I recently posted on here regarding my front px disk shock/tyres felt real hard when riding, so I brought 2 new front shocks "not the best but good enough I thought" I took the original one off for the first time (newbie) but instead of unscrewing the 2 bottom bolts then pulling from the top I unscrewed the whole top bracket it sits in. With a almighty thud the thing dropped down. I replaced with the 1st new front shock took for a spin and felt real crap, real hard and uncomfortable, I then replaced with the 2nd new front shock and it was the same yet the 2nd shock I installed was adjustable and cost double what the first did. It's now been 2 weeks since running with this shock and I have concerns that something's not right I have taken a pic which shows the gap between the top of Front mudguard to the bottom of the horncast it's showing an awful lot of the front fork which was never there before. I never remember seeing such a large gap before I removed the shock. So in a nutshell since taking off the original shock the scoot ride's terrible, I feel every single bump, ripple, stone on every road s1273.photobucket.com/user/fredperrybruce/media/WP_20130725_012_zpsce00c2ec.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1Sorry if I've not explained my issue properly I tend not to know the technical terms being a Newbie

gap looks ok to me. you may have a problem, but an adjustable shock would be harder than a standard one. hard is good, but more uncomfortable, soft and bouncy is bad. having said that you know your scooter better than me so i'd keep trying to work it out or get it checked by someone who regularly works on vespa's

Looks OK to me too, and there's nothing in the suspension set up that could affect it anyway. As above, stiff shocks will come as a surprise, but now you'll be able to scare the crap out of yourself braking (on the front!) late into corners

It does take a bit of getting used to!
Bloody hell the thing works a treat when I slam the front brake on but anything bigger than a pin head I feel! lol
Cheers guys

Yeah, looks OK. Suggest you stick to pinhead size objects to run over then!!!!!
