Hi guys
I purchased my 2009 LX50 last week, and passed my CBT on Saturday, so Monday was my first day out. Really happy with the Vespa, certainly gets me to work quicker.
Just have a few questions. Please excuse me as I am a noob when it comes to scooters...
1 – I noticed this morning that when indicating (left and right) sometimes the lights will remain static for a few seconds, as will the light on the “dash” and then it will starting blinking as normal.
2 – When riding I can hear a very slight sound (cant tell if its rear or front) that sounds a bit like a radio Controlled car. That sort of mechanical whine, and the sound changes with the speed. It’s very slight but may be normal (cogs, belt) etc?
3 – The speedometer gauge, the hand doesn’t go up and down smoothly, it jumps or goes back and forth when the speed increases, if you know what i mean. It goes up and down but not smoothly.
The scooter is immaculate, no damage, well looked after/serviced, MOTd 2 weeks ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, on point 1, have you looked at the indicator relay? (small plastic box with three terminals on). Does the LX even have one?
I have had the same problem with my P200E and I don't even have a battery on mine! How very old fashioned!!!
Hope it helps

On mine it is left side by the spare wheel. On yours I wouldn't know. It is a matchbox sized box with three terminals on the top.
