Hi, I have a been doing a'lot of maintenance on my scooter lately and was wondering weather it's worth de-coking my scorpion exhaust and renewing the packing in the silencer. What is the best way of de-coking it and can it be done on a stainless steel scorpion. Cheers

Decoke? dont think anyone has needed to do that since the 1980's If you've been running a semi or fully synthetic oil coke really won't be an issue, i'd certainly not bother. You could repack if you think it has got noisy assuming the tail can comes apart, don't know about the scorpion, i've certainly done that on a simonnini, new wadding from a motorcycle shop, you wont need much and if you overpack it will end up even noisier, so just judge it by how much of the old stuff you take out.

lol, old stuff what old stuff. Took the thing apart today and found nothing. No wonder the thing sounded so loud! Gave the thing a good blast out today with a pressure washer just for good measure, Think that will do until the new packing arrives. Cheers for the advice I'm a'bit of a clean freak when it comes to my vespa
