Hi, I have owned my px125 for 7 months now and the noise which is coming from the SIMONINI exhaust seems to be getting louder and louder to the point I have to wheel the thing away from my neighbor's house's before starting the engine. Is there anything that I can look for which could be causing this horrific noise!! Engine seems to be running fine, Carb has been up-jetted.It just sounds awful , many thanks

Sounds like the packing/stuffing has been blown out of the rear can. Not sure on that Simoni, but on a loud Lammie one I had to de-rivet the can to gain access to that stuff (what was left) and repack it with some new material rather like fibre glass I had bought from Demon Tweeks for doing a Caterham Seven sports car "Super Trap" can. Wear gloves when doing the job!!!!!

Sounds like a chore to say the least!! But will take a look , maybe this is the kick up the backside I needed to go buy a sito sports exhaust. Cheers

Simonini?
Remove exhaust, throw away, replace with something not made out of baked bean cans.
Horrible things that make a lot of noise but do sod all for performance.

i'm with Nick, Simo is cheap, nasty and tinny!, vibrate themselves to bits given (little) time.. there are no baffels inside them (I cut one open just for fun) so that tiny end can is all that silences it but its so small very little wadding fits in it so will always be annoyingly loud mind you, i dont like any of the aftermarket pipes... would only consider the SIP road
