Hi there,
My name is Erica.
I'm 25 years old, and I've been scootering since I was 16. got my first motorbike when I was 8 years old!
I passed my CBT at 16, then my motorbike test at 18, but due to me being a bit of a wimp, opted for twist and go, then fell in love with the vespa...
I purchased my first, (and only) vespa in 2009, brand new, and it has been a godsend giving me so much independance.
It's a beautiful baby blue vespa lx 125cc... <3 *love*
The only problem I now have is, I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. A chronic pain and fatigue syndrome. On most days I can barely get the bike off the stand. Once I'm on the bike I'm fine, sure my shoulders aceh from the weight of the helmet, and jacket and my wrists and fingers hurt from being wrapped around the handles... But I'm fine. I can ride, no problem. Just in pain. Which is of couse - unsafe.
So, unfortunately for now until I learn to manage my illness I am reluctantly selling it... Jeez.. It pains me to say that. It's my baby.
I've been learning to drive because being in a car is warmer, and doesn't have as much pressure on the muscles as what being on a bike does.
Anyway, I joined this forum because I have had a few failed attempts at selling my bike on AutoTrader. I have had several emails of "interest" from scammers, and I feel that advertising there is wasting my money
My Dad suggested a Vespa Forum, which had never crossed our minds before - and hey - here you all are! I REALLY hope you can help me because I am so close to passing my driving test, and as much as I don't want to sell my bike, if I don't sell it, I can't afford a car...
I am currently relying on public transport which utterly sucks. So, I would really appreciate it if you coule please guide me in the right direction to people who may be genuine buyers, geuine people out there willing to buy my bike!
I'm based in the South East of Kent, England and can be contacted via email at ericatrinityrose@gmail.com or if you follow the Autotrader ad (as yes, I paid for 3 weeks as they sent me a deal via email because I didn't want to rejoin straight away) then you can see pictures of my baby there, and further details!
