Just noticed my Sterling RHS exhaust is cracked again! main bracket broke off last month so got that welded now where that bolts onto has a crack half way across it After the tail pipe broke 6 months ago, that's the last crack. I'm not welding it anymore. The Sterling was a bit noisy even after I re-packed it. Any suggestions as to what I should get? Its a tuned polini 221 and a 9000 rpm screamer. Something I can get before next weekend would be nice as I hope to be going away on it

For that spec? Serie Pro or RZ for my money.
Sterling are crap knock offs off the old Taffspeed pipes that are too short IIRC.

Isn't the Sterling stainless?

I've a mild steel one in the garage Joey. It'll do when the Mickek falls apart, until I can afford a Serie Pro

I like the look of the RZ Evo. Is there anywhere in the UK that keeps them in stock?

That's in Germany though.
Try Disco Dave or Twisted Rods, they may

I couldn't get a RHS RZ ordered fast enough for the weekend. I managed to do a street fix on the main mount, which I was quite proud of. It got all the way there and back then about 2 miles from home it sounded like it fell off but no bump. Looked underneath and........ these exhausts are just c**p. Attachments:

Looks like an obvious weak point. Never done it so just a thought. Can one insert a decent tube inside these two sections (tight fit on the inner of course so maybe a split sawn tube) to take the strain and then get it re-welded?

I'd be tempted to run an extra brace or two past the weak point to take the load.

This is the fourth time it has broken! All in different places. I think the actual metal might be dodgy.
I'll do another street fix on this with some car tube and jubilee clips, so I can ride it until the RZ pipe arrives ;D

Just remember to measure the distance you throw it
