Hello,my names Harrison and I'm totally new to Vespas and the forum!
I wondered if you could give me some advice. I'm looking to buy my first vespa for my 16th Birthday and I want something classic. I've been looking at a VESPA 50N PIAGGIO (1967) in what looks like excellent good condition. From the description it was fully restored last summer with all new tyres, cables, seat and wheel covers, grips etc. the frame and forks, hubs and rims have been blasted and a new floor has been put in. He's asking £1200 for it and I wanted to know if this was a good price?
An advice would be very helpful!
Harrison.

See if you can take along a mate (or recruit one) who knows a bit about Vespas to give it a good look over first. He may spot things that can be covered over by a good paint job! He needs to be honest and that way can be unbiased. We all get a bit starry eyed over first purchases but most of us have had ones we'd rather have approached as if buying for a friend and stayed objective rather than the way we did it!!! It can sometimes help with the price if simple outstanding jobs (no, not good but need doing sort of jobs!) can be found which might help negotiate a lower/better price for purchase.
Whatever, welcome and good luck.
