Stiffer suspension spring to resist the front trailing arm rising up so much under braking force

Ive just bought a new upgraded spring from welch scooter parts, on e-bay , 15 quid, they are new old stock, the finish was a little hazy, not too bad, anyway I had mine powdercoated, has made a noticable difference to the front end.

^ that spring is for a PX, not going to fit a VBB.
10" wheels on the VBB forks is never going to work well, the wheel sits too far back in the VBB mudguard, really you need 10" forks from a Sprint/Rally/GS/GL etc.
You can fudge it a bit by fitting an uprated front spring (SIP etc) to reduce the compression, but it's still not ideal..

I really wish I'd been paying attention when Sausage was telling my how to do this using Lambretta components. I remember it involved sleeving the original shock with a spring off a Lammy, but that's all I can remember. Too late to ask him now. Christ I'm name dropping tonight!
