Hi guys n girls. Drive belt went on me. Had it replaced and some plastic bearings too. Then wasnt right. Back to mechanics. Apperantly a cip shaped object with fins inside. One fin had broke.. Can u tell i ride and not a mechanic. Anyway all new bits at more expense. But now she doesnt pull away as fast and seems im revving but not getting far. Does acheive top speed. Is it new parts that need wearing in or clutch not working properly.. Thanks for any help u can offer. ..Marco.

Sounds like variator or rollers or other such witchcraft. To be honest, you'd be better off on modernvespa.com/forum/ as that's where the people with the knowledge of auto engines are.

T & G's are a pain to set-up sometimes with the internals. Bare in mind yours was in the last throws of life so you may have got used to riding it without realising it was not quite right anyway. See how a basic variable transmission works (twist 'n' go) here

You may have been running different variator weights previously, they affect your performance.

Good point Nik. Do you know if you had standard parts before aakdotcom?
