Hi All,
I've got a 1971 veep 150 import with a lml engine, I've had it for about 3 years now and love it, very reliable (apart from running out of petrol!!!) , so fairly new to the scooting world, but love it soo much I bought myself a brand new PX last month. I'm having a problem with it and I wondered if there was anybody out there that could help. The Engine is dying and cutting out when starting off in first, this only happens when the engine has heated up and has been running for a while. I end up having to to over rev to pick away and then quickly cut the revs so I don't end up doing a wheelie down the road. I've covered 450Km so far so I'm still running the engine in. Any ideas would be helpful before I have to trape back to the garage.

That's less than 280 miles. The engine is probably a bit tight so if your weather is as hot with you and it is for me in Hampshire then it will be getting hot even with that fan blowing air over it. Suggest running it in with shortish runs to allow the piston/liner to bed-in without cooking it. Keep the revs at a reasonable rate to allow it to spin up OK without labouring. If it persists, as stated, see your dealer (scooter.........not crack).
