Hello all, i need some advice but first tell u a little about myself,
i have always wanted a Vespa 125c ,so as an experiment to see if i like scootering i bought a 50cc Chinese import. I must say for the lst 12 months it's definatley been an adventure.
i have now passed my CBT on a manual bike and planning on getting a Vespa.....but here's the thing do i get a auto or manual ......also whats the advantages/disadvantages.
Thank you.

Auto: Faster, smoother, probably more reliable. Not as easy to work on yourself, spares are very expensive in comparison.
Manual: More traditional looking, easy to work on, cheap to find parts for. Slower. Dated styling? Arguably not as reliable (if you buy second hand) as an auto but a wealth of knowledge from those of us with experience to help you along.

sbwnik is spot-on. Depends if you want the 'old school' feel of a two stroke with gears etc. Me? No way would I choose an auto over the geared machine.......................unless I had no mechanical knowledge at all and needed a reliable machine to commute to work and back etc. Good luck with whatever choice (or if Lucia loaning money) choices you make!
