hi all , thinking of putting a 150 barrel/piston set that i have lying around onto my px 125 , i know it wont do anything amazing but can i do it with the engine in the frame?? cheers dave

yes but you have to remove at least 3 barrel studs, think you leave the top left one on.

I'd not bother. You'll get no noticable power increase - maybe 1 or 2 mph - and your insurance and MOT will become invalid.

thats correct....in an interview in scooter scene many years ago with some bod at piaggio, he admitted the 150cc lumps were inferior to the 125 engines...about 1 per cent more torque & 3 mph faster & used more fuel.. i remember reading that about 18 years ago

thanks all. think i will just keep it in case i get anything go wrong with my standard one, and use it as a replacement.

its slightly faster through the gears,must be considering it a bigger piston,top end no difference,which is the same as most kits using standard set up
