Hi Guys,
New to the forum.
I have just purchased a very old Vespa 150, and somebody in its distant past has 'hacked' off a couple of inches off the top of the legshields.
Is there any way at all to repair the damage by welding/riveting a piece back in, or am I looking at replacing the legshields (which are as common as unicorn horns!).
Many Thanks for your time

The legshields can't be replaced as far as I know, and I've never seen a sucessful repair job yet.
Cut it down further, stick a bike tank in and enjoy it like that.
Best I can come up with, sorry

Yeah, nightmare repair. Basically impossible as so thin even with the best spot welding/filler etc it will still show! The best you can do is make up a couple of sections sections and attach them with say an aluminium trim panel as a cover up strip and screws/washers/nuts. Spray it a different colour to try and make it like you have made a specific area that's different. Sorry, can't be any more 'helpful' than that.
