my px 150 cat, recently bought is running bog standard, (exhaust, jets, ect), the previous owner gave me 3 big bottles of carplan 2 stroke, Ive had lots of different advice weather it will be ok to run on, or not, lots say standard motor its ok, others say bin it and use semi-synthetic. . Do I bin it???

Standard catalysed 150? No problems. I'd be surprised if it wasn't semi-synth anyway.
It'll be a better oil than a lot of the stuff I used to run back in the 80s and never had any real problems with that, even on Lammies. About four years ago I bought a tray - 12 litres - of natural 2 stroke. I ran it in the P200 everywhere - work, 300 mile each way rallies, illegal races round Scotland, the lot. Never had any problems with it at all other than the piston rings gumming, which I expected.
Put it this way, if you don't want it, I'll happily run my heavily thrashed P2 on it.

^ as above, personally I never buy anything other than semi-synth but it would not concern me sticking in some mineral oil so long as it is a recognised brand, todays mineral oil has got to be better than the stuff the first PX's ran on anyway.. probably!
