Hi, i brought a 2 stroke LML about 6 months ago... Had a Pinasco 177cc kit fitted and a larger carb (not sure what) for about year and half now, all running smoothly however there isn't much top end speed. I'm looking at putting a new exhaust on it to see if that effects it (and to make it sound nicer mainly). Was looking at a Simonini, however realised its not road legal...and i want to keep it as legal as possible and so ive now found a sito plus that is legal and sounds similar.
1) Would a sito plus work well with a 177cc kit? 2) How would i go about up jetting it? 3) Any idea if it would up the top speed and if so would i then need to alter any of the other parts.
Any help appreciated! Thanks:)

Since when have Pinasco not been road legal? There's enough of them on the road.. I'd not worry about that too much.
If you fit a Sito + then you shouldn't need to upjet from where you are now, assuming you've upjetted for the kit. A better exhaust of much the same design is the SIP Road though, I've been running one for around 6 months and find it a much better pipe than the Sito. You'll need to upjet one for that though.
One thing though - you say you've not had much improvement in performance from the Pinasco? Did you just bolt it straight on, or did you have the casings ported? Without the porting work you'll not see much improvement anyway.

Ooops, just realised I only answered half your question:
To upjet: Take the RH panel off, take the top off the carb box, unscrew the air filter bolts and remove the filter. There are two brass screw heads on the top of the carb. Unscreww the bigger of the two, this is your main jet stack. Remove, and pull the bottom section - this is your main jet. Replace with the correct one.
Return all the bits to where they came from.
Sorted
