A T5 engine is a pain of you manage to seize it - in theory that shouldn't happen due to the nikasil lined cylinder, but I've seen enough trashed barrels (including the one in my garage!) to know otherwise...
A new crank and main bearing is a lot cheaper than a new T5 engine, and it's not a huge job. I'm in Scunny and will be happy to take the crank out for you and then put it back together again - I'm not a huge fan of changing main bearings on other people's scooters, if it goes wrong, it's terminal - but Beedspeed in Grimsby will do it cheap enough. you'll need to get the engine out of the chassis and here though.
If you can get it done tomorrow morning, I should be able to do the splitting tomorrow afternoon/evening, and the reassembly friday. Failing that, I can do the whole job on Friday if Beedys can get the bearing out for you then, and have a crank in stock.
Give them a call? Failing that, I'm not sure when I'll have the time, but it's not a big job.
Any good?
