Hey everyone! First of all, this is my first Vespa, so be gentle I just bought an ET4 from eBay. £800, Y-reg, 4000 miles. Pretty good cosmetic condition (a few scratches on the left, a small dent on the right, and scratches along the left side of the leg guard, and one spot of rust). Anyway, it came with a Luma chain and lock - first question...the chain is a total pain to get through the back wheel, is it risky to buy a thinner chain? Can I sell this chain? Second question - I have an old full car licence (pre-2001) so I can ride 50cc without L plates. But for my 125, I need to take the test before I can carry pillion. I feel like I can ride pretty well, is it worth just going for the test? Or do I really need lessons? And the third question: how much do you reckon it will cost to get the scratches painted over, and the dent sorted out? Thanks everyone

Just done a check on Luma chains. The locks are brilliant, but the chains are very weak. There is an old MCN report online that gives three chains broken in less than four minutes using normal theft equipment.
I'd just buy something that's Thatcham approved, and use the Luma one for locking the lawnmower up TBH
