hi all here im back with a t5 classic after 10 years away from scoot scene, any one explain how my t5 can loose fuel when theres no leaks and fuel pipe seems ok its baffled me for days.parked my scoot up on monday after getting laid off work sh*t i know. any way i went to have a we drive on friday .on turning on the petrol tap i had fuel p*shing from my scooter... i panicked and thought w.t .f.. i thought petrol pipe had disconnected its self and was all set to take it to shop to have mechanic have a look.. any way called rac part of my insurance and they came out removed tank found no problems.scoot started up no problem and no more fuel was leaking . i can only guess it was some thing to do with being parked on a slope. im still not sure ...... any one had this problem or any advice cheers all rob the joys of a vespa yeeeeee haaaa lol

Had this issue with a Lambretta recently after filling up with some Super Unleaded but not sure if Vespas suffer the same. The actual plastic carburettor float expanded and was snagging on the side of the float bowl. Something to do with the aromatics they put in the fuel to raise the octane level. Float was about 1.5 -2mm longer than an identical spare one I had. Just a thought............................... !
