Hi all, new to the site and to scootering. I have introduced myself as I believe is protocol in the introduction sections.
Basically I am a confused man, my indicators are out of sync on my PX125E (2011) version. When front left is on back left is off and so on plus the same on the right. I have been told two things.
1. that all vespa's do this and there is no fault. 2. that it is an earth fault.
I have also been informed that this is not an MOT failure or a road legal issue,
I would appreciate any view please.
Thank you and hello again.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum.
Perfectly normal. That's what they should do, and it's not an MOT fail. Apparently, asking the feeble electrics to light two indicators at once is too much and it would keel over and die under the stress if it did.

Robjack I am not knocking what you are saying at all, I went through the bike with a fine tooth comb and there is no earth fault for sure but as I say I am sure both where in sync when I picked the bike up.

Its right- The stator plate is limited to the current it can withstand so to minimise this piaggio done the indicators that way

There have been no Vespas prior to the GT series (which may or may not - I don't know) that have had the indicators running in sync. The system quite simply won't allow it due to it's design.
You're mistaken.
Simple as that.
