Hi all, Dug out my 9yr old PX125 last year after a 4 year break and got it back on the road. Great! I stupidly left it out since November with the fuel tap open, and can't start it up now. If anyone has any ideas of the most likely problems are and where on this forum I should start looking, it would be much appreciated. Cheers from the Wirral, Brian

First place to look is your carburettor, could possibly just be a matter of blowing the jets through. They can gum up a little if left standing. You might need to clean out the whole carb if it looks bad. Also take a look at your plug and give it a clean up with emery cloth or preferably replace it. If that doesn't do it, you will need to look at your spark next.

Hi, needless to say, you first need to drain the fuel tank, and refuel a fresh tank. Then you can try putting a few drops of fuel right in the carb barrel, try to start the engine. If it does start, open the throttle until engine revs high, then close it right away , then immediately open and vise versa. This can generate vacuum, enough to unclog the carb sometimes, saving you the trouble of carb cleaning. If it doesn't help, as Briano Robjack said, you'll need to clean the carb.
