Hi all Am running a 1965 150 sprint,overall it runs well but the plug is getting pretty black,mainly short runs 5/6 miles.No problems ever with starting.I was running on a 102 main jet and NKGB7 plug.I have now changed to a 100 main jet and and NKGB6HS plug.The carb is standard. Any thoughts please?

on short runs it it not unusual for the plug to be a bit dark, why do you think it is a problem, is it running rough?
You won't really see any change in plug colour after your jet change unless you do a full throttle plug chop - ie, run at 3/4 to full throttle for a few miles, then cut the ignition, that is the only way to see how it is running on the main jet.
If it's choking up when just pottering around, first thing I'd do is clean the airfilter.. also worth checking it has the correct pilot jet fitted..

take a look at the spec for your engine on here;
scooterhelp.com
Go through the frame or engine number search section and you will find it, you dont need to put your engine number details in to get to the spec page.
If you are running standard exhaust and no other mods, all the jets should be same as OE spec, if you have non standard exhaust, main should be just a few points higher than standard..
