Hi Can anyone tell me how the choke cable attaches on this scooter, I am restoring one and I know its comes up under the seat and locates in the frame in a small hole. But what does it attach to then I have no levers and the old seat is wrecked.

G'day
Apologies i dont have an answer to your question, but I am restoring a 152L2 as well. I have previously restored a 70's Sprint but this Douglas and its split headset are new to me. Any chance you have 'work in progress' photos of your scoot so I can compare? I am having trouble tracking down a speedo and few 'niggley' bits for this resto. My email is mal@surf.co.nz

On my 152 L2 the choke cable comes up through a small hole under the front of the saddle and just has a ring on the end, just like you put keys on on a keyring. The cable simply loops over the ring and is clamped to itself by a small metal clamp or tag. To use the choke you put your finger in the ring and pull upwards. As simple as that. This is all original. There is no lever involved. Hope that helps.
