My px 125 is about 11 years old and used exclusively for getting round town. On Sunday I had to travell 75 miles so I tried to keep the revs down to about 75% and poottled alongnicely until I had done about 35 miles when the engine siezed (or seemed to) and sent me skidding all over the road.
I applied the clutch and the rear wheel freed allowing me to roll to the side of the road.
After a few moments I kicked the scoot and she started first time. Ihad no further problems although my journey time was much longer than I anticipated since I was now travelling at about 50% revs...just in case.
At the end of the day, I returned home 70 miles in the opposite direction and stopped at every major town (or village) I came to for 5 - 10 min to ensure my scoot did not over heat. I had no further problems.
what was the cause of my skid? what should I do next?
thanksfor the hep

The cause of the skid was the sudden application of a braking force to your back wheel ;D The cause of the heat sieze could be any number of things......... jetting, pipe, age of fuel, spark plug, choice of oil.......... you need to give us a bit more information to help us to help you fella.
