Ive just got myself a vespa pk50 1985 and am loving it atm just wanna add a few thing to it and as i have no idea with them and am very untechnical so any advise is gonna be amazing.
Im looking to add a few thing ut have no idea if I can just get them off ebay and put them on myself to keep cost down.
I want to change the cluch and brake levers to crome ones. How easy is it to do? How do I do it? What crome one do I have to buy?
I would like to but a front and back rack on it but can only find them for PX models. So will they fit? Are they easy to put on?
Was hoping to find an original or look alike plate that used to be below the choke with dirrections for fuel lever. Any ideas where to find one?
Sorry there so many questions and there all basic, I have no idea nad just wanna get it look amazing so I can fall even more in love with it!
Thanks

Hi I have had lots of PK and built a few as well, firstly you can get most of the parts you want from shop such as beedspeed, levers and such like, most parts are the same used on other small frames although be carefull because there are some major differances in certain areas. The levers are readily available and easy to fit, get new fixing bolts and nuts though as it makes the job look a lot better. It simple to do just realease the cables from there other ends and after removing the bolts that pivot the levers just gently eas the levers out just enough to swap them over, you will see how the cable fits when you eas the levers out. Now for racks any small frame front rack will fit, and its simple to do and should only take minutes, the back may be a bit more diificult as it fixes on the seat latch which on a PK is different to other models, however I have seen small frame rear racks re-drilled on the fixing bar allowing the two bolt to be fitted back on the seat latch. I however would recomend going on ebayitaly and searching on there as you will find a lot more parts readily available. As for the black plate below the petrol lever they didnt all have these when built so you may find that nearly impossible to get.. Where engine parts are concerned again most small frame bit are interchangerble but such things like Barrell and piston kits are different and so are the exhausts despite what some dealers will tell you, yes a normal small frame one will go on but it wont locate properly on the mount so try to stick to PK listed parts.
If i can be of any further help email me on cormorantfisher@hotmail.com.
Cheers Dave
