Hi I have a 1998 T5 classic ,runs sweet but at tickover pull in clutch and I get a rattling noise. Changes up and down gears no prob do I live with it or investigate ?

In any vespa the clutch rattles a bit on pull when mine rattled, I replaced the inner clutch and the brass sleeve It wasn't expensive as i recall its not dangerous too, its more of an nuisance until you're fed up from the noise... but might be a good idea to let some one more experienced with vespa noises, to hear it

my PX rattles when the clutch is in....also had a T5 a few years ago which did the same

Did you check the oil level? Is it an old engine oil?

thanks for feedbabk, the oil was changed about a month ago but the rattle has always been there , I didnt want to strip it down if it just a T5 thing

all my vespa's seem to have that rattle, thinks it's a vespa thing

Common to have clutch rattle on a T5, which goes when you pull the clutch in, so I'd not worry unless the clutch is not working as it should..
