hi all could someone tell me how many miles it takes to run new piston rings in on a standard px125 disc? ive had 2 180 kits on it and seized them solid so its back to the 125 till ive saved some cash for a p200 engine lol

Uhm... if you seized two 180 kits the problem could lie somewhere else. The 180 kits on the market are all generally very solid and reliable if the carb has been set well. Did you change the main jet to at least a 108 or a 110?
For the segments, I would say 3/400 miles would be enough run in. It is advisable to hone the cylinder before fitting new segments although I know many people who fit them without honing and had no problem whatsoever.

I find that copious amounts of LARD rubbed on the inside of the barrel and all over your testicles and then a quick thrash is enough to run in new RINGS.

Sorry about the above, I'm bored. If the barrel is already run in and it's only new rings then it should only take about 50 miles to bed the new rings to the barrel.

thanks for the reply the 2 180 kits i had on where 2nd hand from flebay ( never again) and i was running a 120 jet with them so that should have been ok but there was a rattling from the flywheel with the 180s fitted but when i refitted the 125 there was no rattling.
