hi can anyone help with this prob:have changed barrel gasket,used gasket filler on exhaust in case it was blowing out but still getting black oily deposits on exhaust any ideas thanks ged its a px150x vespa

where abouts on exhaust pal,is it a right hand or left one?or...standard?

hi thanks for reply the exhaust is on the left hand side and finnishes on the right oil is leaking on left hand side just below piston barrel, i have been thinking it may be something to do with the carb, but i dont realy now thanks very much

could be coming from the drain hole in the carb tray,the carb blows deposits out into the filter which then tends to drip on the casing,then the blowing from the flywheel can splatter it about.mine does this.or...could be blowing from the cylinder head. if its not a lot,don't worry about it, if you wipe it all clean you'll be able to see where it coming from. anybody else any ideas?

i had exactly same trouble. i too thought it was coming from the barrel, but it turned out to be the carb box to casing gasket. it had gone where the oil pump drive comes up from the crank, and its a bitch to find unless you take the carb box off! when you put it back together, dont forget to double check all your oil channels are clear for your autolube! hope this helps mate.
