Bit of a problem here... I need to find someone to repair a damaged cylinder head for me. Anyone know a shop that would take this on, preferably up here in the north?

What's the damage Jaz, fins or more serious?
Are you using a deflector piston or flat top?

What's the damage Jaz, fins or more serious? Are you using a deflector piston or flat top? Ah, it's not the Vespa this time. I'm waiting for my gasket set to arrive before I can get on with that. Not wanting to waste the holidays I decided to start work on my *cough* Honda Fusion *cough* while I was waiting The head is damaged where one of the exhaust manifold studs has pulled out and been replaced by the Heath Robinson collection of objects (and plumber's cement) you see below: which is bad enough but the replacement stud has gone through the head and when you run the engine oil escapes down the threads making lots of lovely smoke... There's also the worry that it will let go completely and cover the back tyre with oil, so I'd really like to get it fixed properly if possible.

Ahh, that's not good! I spoke with these chaps about welding an alloy carb body a few months back, worth a call... www.slinden.co.uk/

Just to follow this up, Martin at Chiselspeed did a great job of welding up the damage and cutting a new thread for the exhaust stud at a very reasonable rate
