Any advice please? When I ride out at night I am ok in towns but out on unlit roads, I find myself regularly getting severely dazzled by cars' headlights. I don't know if it's certain types; or the drivers not dipping; or the rise of the road...
All I know is I can't see f*** all most of the time - and I hate it.
I know not to stare directly at the lights, by the way!
Do yellow tinted goggles help?
Thanks...

Yellow tinted goggles do help with night riding caff, but being dazzled by oncoming lights is just something you tend to get used to.
The only real action to take is to slow down or even stop if necessary.

I do slow down lol but I have also had a car right up close behind me whose lights are shining directly in my mirrors and that was truly scary! I think I am getting used to it a little bit but still now and again they get me...especially on a right hand bend or coming over the brow of a hill. I wonder if some people are more susceptible to dazzle than others...and I'm sure some drivers don't bother to dip! I will invest in some yellow tinted goggles; even if they only help a little bit, it will be an improvement!

Every time a car approaches on dark lanes ( you can see they have the full beam on early enough ) quickly close one eye and when the other eye is blinded just open your other eye and you can see straight away. That's why pirates had eye patches. when they are working on deck in the bright sunshine they flipped the eye patch over there eye, so when they went below deck in the darker parts of the ship they flipped the eye patch up and the eye that was covered was already adjusted to the darkness below deck. ARRR!
