Hello all. I recently acquired a 1981 Vespa p80x , or px80. I've seen it described both ways, and I'm not sure which way is the correct way. This forum seems pretty good, and I hope I'll be able to get the help I'm searching for. I live in the states, and apparently this Vespa was never imported here while it was in production. I'm having a hard time finding out information about this bike. Some of the many questions I have: 1) The throttle is extremely sticky, it's almost like having cruise control, where can I find information on curing this problem? 2) The turn signals and brake lights don't work. Where can I find a schematic for this bike, or what may be causing the failure? 3) Are parts on this model interchangeable with other P series bikes? Like the p125 for example. Without further ado, here are some photos of the bike. I love cruising around on this thing, and I really want to get it back in full working order. Thanks for looking.

Hello and welcome.
I'm not aware of the PX80, not sure it was ever imported over here either, I certainly haven't seen one before. I'm sure someone here will know though. I would imagine that body parts/accessories etc. would be interchangeable with other P ranges, it certainly looks to be the same body. I used to have a P125X with a sticky throttle, I quite liked it, but then it wasn't too sticky, it just stayed where you left it. Maybe taking off the headset for a look in would be a good place to start.
Best of luck and hopefully someone here will give you some useful advice.
