Firstly thanks for your replys on my poorly T5, new plug, lead and cap and it was back to good form.......until yesterday. Riding home from work it just cut out, thought it had seized at first but the back wheel didn't lock up, i pulled up got it into neutral kicked it over and it started, ran for another half a mile and cut out again, did the same twice more so i parked it at a petrol station at which point i realised i'd left my phone at work so had to go to the nearest pub to call my recovery service(the wife). This scoot is supposed to be getting me to I.O.W next week so any advice would be greatfully received
Thanks Gary

gary this is a long shot but to me de ja vue me and me mate kenny a couple of years ago riding the iow me on p2 he was on a t5 the same happened to him what happened on the inside of his engine side panel was some padding which was to sound proof the engine to a degree and it had come loose and was getting sucked in to the flywheel and causing a slight seizier hence no cool air just a long shot but maybe ,

hi when the scoot cuts out again, take out the plug cable, take off the cap, and look to see if you have a spark at least you'll know if its electrical or fuel related
as you described, it can be either

Thanks for the replys...worked it out to be fuel starvation in the end, cleaned the carb and it seems to be running fine now.
