I got my PX200 (2003) back from my local scooter shop 2 weeks ago. The guys had fitted a new oil seal for the 2 stroke tank as I was plagued with dripping oil on the garage floor.
I brought it home, parked it up and went on hols. Got back today to find an even larger patch on the garage floor! In addition, there looks like engine oil under the main stand. 2 patches of it just behind the stand feet which is really puzzling.
I'll obviously take it back to the shop but I'm beginning to lose faith a bit.
Can anyone shed any light on the oil patches under the stand? They're not 2 stroke but darker. Could it be leaking through the frame from the engine? If so, from where?

i had a similar problem and it was a hairline fracture in the two stroke plastic level bulb. the oil was getting onto the floor and dripping off the rear of it..dirty two stroke possibly?..tony

I reckon its probably old oil from the leak before but i would take it back to the repairer and get them to clean it out properly otherwise you will have oil dripping for ever.

No it doesn't smell of petrol and as it's continuing after 2 weeks I doubt it's just the old oil making its way out.
It is suspicious though and it's not pouring out of anywhere, just a slow, steady drip.
I've never removed the tank myself so am tempted to give it a go as I'm a bit fed up with jobs not being done properly. However, thanks for all the advice and I'll try and get it back to the shop prior to doing anything else.
I just can't bear the thought of them having it another 2 weeks like last time.

You may be right after 2 weels it should have stopped, the tank is easy to take out just make sure you block the pipes up that feed the carb with petrol and oil so not to hide any leak problem you may have. Just undo the tank bolt under the seat put the fuel tap in the straight up position and you should with a little persaution be able to lift the tank out as you ffed the pipes through from the carb. It may be worth noteing that when a P range is on its stand the scooter leans baclwards ie the back end is lower than the middle and the stand is the pivot point so if oil is coming from the tank then you will see it striaght away as there will be quite a puddle there below the tank. It may be worth lifting the front of the scoot higher on blocks to let any oil thats gone up in the frame run out although this may take a while.
